Simply Dressed Up

Looking for a quick and easy way to dress up without too much effort? Whether it's working retail, going to an interview, or even going to class, blazers are always a quick and easy go to item in my closet.

This white blazer above was a must on my wish-list for a while. I just got it from Forever 21 and I must say that that store is notorious for granting consumers glamorous fashion pieces for very small prices. While not super expensive, this blazer plays the part well and I can wear it with almost any outfit to look dressed up.

Keeping it comfy and cute today, I paired this blazer with basic black leggings. Leggings are pretty much any girl's go to bottoms on a daily basis. I like to wear them occasionally for two different types of events. If I'm feeling casual then obviously I'd pair them with a cute tee or plain sweater. However, leggings are form fitting and that helps them produce a dressed up, more sophisticated and less bummed out type of look. That's why I thought that pairing my blazer with leggings was the perfect balance of dressed up and comfy at the same time while still producing the right image for a day in the retail workforce.

Petstagrams

Like everyone else, you probably think that your pets are the cutest and most charismatic animals to ever walk the earth. You probably have also wanted a way to share them and their funny actions with the world. I know that I have at least felt this way. I was first inspired by the Instagrams of Pudge the Cat and Grumpy Cat. I sometimes found similarities  between their actions and the actions of my own cats. I realized that if these cats were made famous, then in time and with the right strategies, I could make my cats walk with the four-footed celebrities as well. Instagram seems to be one of the most used social networks and one of the most easiest to gain followers on. That helped me make the decision to use Instagram to start the path to my cats' stardom. With creative captions and funny poses that many people have not yet tried with their pets, I've successfully garnered roughly 500 followers and 100 likes per picture on my cats' accounts. It's really simple to get followers. I have them follow many different accounts that follow different cat fan pages and even the pages of famous cats. Eventually people follow back and then followers of their followers follow the grape vine following list and end up on that of my cats as well. It also helps that I use my cats' accounts to like my followers pictures. That way, they get likes in return. If you're looking to make your pets famous, check out the start to my cats' fame by taking a look at their Instagrams. While you're at it, you might as well follow my cats while you're there. ;-)

Out With the Old... Selling on eBay

Finding yourself wanting to add to your wardrobe? In need of some extra cash? A great way to resolve this problem is to get rid of some old clothes and accessories to make room for the new. When I say "get rid of", I don't mean "throw out". Selling your used belongings on eBay is a great way to clean out some space and get a little money back so that you can put it towards your next purchase.

I've recently been saving up for a new Michael Kors bag and the best way I've found to earn money for this splurge is by selling my used handbags on eBay.

My listings that I find to be the most popular are the ones in which I include a big lot of clothes. Buyers want more for their money, and if they see a huge lot of clothes for the same amount of money that they would spend on just one item at the mall, they will be more inclined to go for your listing.

Check out my eBay store for some ideas on what to list.

This video sums up my life as a figure skater, but it also exhibits my abilities in the communications field. This was my senior project in high school and to me, it represents the beginning of a future based off of the hardworking, determined personality that I acquired from the sport of figure skating.
